Main and sub panel instructions:
The basic install instructions (found in the manual) apply to all CURB hub installs however multiple CURB hubs will require the following:
- Only the main legs coming into the main panel will need to be monitored with the 100 CT’s. These will be the only clamps designated as “Main” in the configuration app for any of the hubs.
- Except, We have seen some installs that have to Main panels side by side. In this instance, you will need to get another set of 100 Amp CTs and get those on the other Main feeds. It is possible to have a two main panel service where the config app requires that you mark 4 "Mains" for one hub or 2 "Mains" in each hub's config if you are using two CURB hubs.
- The sub panel feed will not need to be monitored if you are monitoring all the breakers in the sub panel with another CURB hub. Also, the sub panel feeds do not need to be monitored (in the sub panel) if you are monitoring all the breakers in it.
- After the first CURB hub has all clamps assigned, go the the Installation section of the configuration app and click on “Add Panel”. You will add second panel information here.
- Then, you will go back to the Installation section of the configuration app and click on “Add CURB Hub”. From here you will be able to complete the clamp assignment for the second CURB hub. If it does not allow you to add another hub, you can go to connect.energycurb.com and start from there. Notify us and we will combine hubs on the backend.
- Only one Home Plug is required to create the PLC signal regardless of the # of CURB hubs to be installed. Each CURB hub comes with a Home Plug but only one needs to be used in any install.
Main and another Main panel instructions.
Use above instructions only have multiple "Mains" marked in config app. If using one hub for each panel then you will have x4 "Mains" checked in config app. If using multiple hubs then each hub has "Mains" checked in config app.
